The UIS golf program has announced the addition of Assistant Coach Julie Hofmanova. She has joined Head Coach Michael Leotta on the coaching staff.
"I am really excited to have Julie on our staff," said Head Golf Coach Michael Leotta. "Her experience, energy, and personality really stood out in our process. She's a great fit for us here and will have a positive impact for both programs on and off the course."
"I am incredibly grateful to Director of Athletics Mike Hermann and Head Golf Coach Michael Leotta for this opportunity," Hofmanova said. "I couldn't be more excited to work with both the men's and women's teams, sharing my knowledge and experiences while also learning from the many inspiring people around me. I am committed to ensuring that our student-athletes fully embrace and make the most of this amazing journey, one that I was fortunate to experience myself not too long ago."
Hofmanova graduated from Missouri Western State University in May 2024, earning a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources (B.S.B.A).
During her college career, Hofmanova competed on the MWSU golf team all four years and was named to the All-MIAA Second Team in 2022-23.
She has previously worked at Beroun Golf Club and Golf School Michal in her home country of Czechia.
Hofmanova is originally from Hyskov, Czechia.
