Justin Castillo of Chicago, Illinois has been admitted to the University of Illinois Springfield for Fall Semester 2024 and awarded an $8,000 Star Scholar Award for tuition over four years.

The scholarship is awarded based on high school GPA and can be renewed for a total of four years if the student maintains college GPA requirements.

Castillo will major in finance. In high school, he was involved in soccer.

[BW1] After graduating from UIS, Castillo intends to pursue a career in finance and establish his own business within 10 to 15 years after completing his studies.

All undergraduate first-year students are automatically eligible for Star Scholar First Year Scholarships. To receive $8,000 over four years, the student must have an unweighted GPA of 3.00-3.24.
