Matthew is a career military professional and has served with the U.S. Army National Guard for over 18 years. He currently serves as the Director of Domestic Operations for the Illinois National Guard. In this role, he has planned and organized responses to disasters in Illinois including COVID-19, civil unrest, flood, and winter storm. As the Director of Domestic Operations, Matthew is The Adjutant General’s senior operations chief responsible for all Defense Support of Civil Authorities operations, plans, domestic operations training, and exercises.
