Dear UIS Colleagues —

I invite you to join me and other members of the UIS leadership team from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, as we kick off the 2022-23 Academic Year with a townhall meeting. We will use this time together to introduce our new faculty colleagues and recognize new leadership appointments, as well as hear a budget update from Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration Arnold Henning and details about an exciting new strategic initiative related to our academic reorganization from Provost Dennis Papini. Time will be reserved at the end for questions.

The townhall will be offered as both an in-person and virtual opportunity. If you’d like to attend in person, the meeting will occur in Brookens Auditorium (seating is limited to first come, first served). The capacity of Brookens Auditorium is about 180 people, and I would love to see it filled. If you’d like to attend by Zoom, login details are below.

Friday’s meeting will be the first of several campus engagements we are planning for the Fall 2022 semester. If you cannot attend, a recording will be shared on my website next week.
