Dear Faculty and Staff —

I am pleased to share that Dr. J. Travis Bland has been selected to serve as interim dean (designate) of the College of Health, Science and Technology, pending Board of Trustees approval. His two-year appointment will begin July 1.

Dr. Bland is a tenured faculty member in the School of Public Management and Policy. He has served as associate dean of the College of Public Affairs and Education since 2020 and as director of the Doctor of Public Administration program since 2017. He holds a PhD in public administration/public affairs and an MPA from Virginia Tech.
