With few campus-wide avenues to recognize excellent service when we receive it, or to be recognized for providing excellent service, these awards are an opportunity to honor those who regularly go above and beyond, many times in ways that aren’t visible to the entire campus community. We would really like to hear what you have to say about those staff members who brighten your days or make your life easier because you work with them!

Nominations may be made online or by filling out the attached nomination form and returning it to Robin Vansacik, BRK 484, or via e-mail to apac@uis.edu or rvans3@uis.edu.

Details:

1. This award was established jointly by the Chancellor and the Academic Professional Advisory Council to recognize the exceptional work of academic professional employees and honors one employee each year.
2. Any academic professional employee whose appointment is at least 50 percent time and has been employed as an academic professional employee for a minimum of three years as of July 1, 2022 can be nominated for the award.
3. $500 is awarded to the winner.
4. Nominations may be made by any UIS employee or student.

The nomination period will run from February 13, 2023 – March 1, 2023. The winner will be announced at the joint Employee Appreciation CARE and CAPE Awards Ceremony on April 5, 2023.
