UIS Homecoming is just around the corner, and the UIS athletic department is excited to celebrate with our Prairie Stars family! This year's theme, "Legacy Ignited," honors the rich history of our community while sparking new traditions and memories.
Homecoming week at UIS, scheduled for Sept. 22-28, promises an exciting lineup of events designed to engage students, alumni, and fans alike. Whether you're cheering on our teams, reconnecting with fellow alumni, or enjoying the vibrant campus atmosphere, Homecoming week is the perfect time to celebrate our community.
Join the Prairie Stars for an action-packed evening at Kiwanis Stadium on Friday, Sept. 27, starting with the women's soccer match against Southwest Baptist University at 5:00 p.m. Following that, the men's soccer team will take the field at 7:30 p.m. Fans who purchase tickets for the soccer games will enjoy complimentary admission to the women's volleyball match against Missouri S&T at TRAC, which begins at 6:00 p.m.
We're thrilled to introduce a beer garden for Homecoming guests at Kiwanis Stadium, where fans can purchase refreshments and enjoy watching the Prairie Stars in action.
Then, on Saturday, September 28, the volleyball team is back in action against Maryville for their Homecoming match. The first set will start at 3 p.m.
To enhance your Homecoming experience, we are offering special group ticket rates for those looking to gather and enjoy the festivities. Groups of ten or more can take advantage of our exclusive offer to watch the Prairie Stars soccer and volleyball games at half price by selecting Group Tickets in HomeTown Ticketing in advance. It's a fantastic opportunity to support UIS teams while enjoying a full weekend of sports and community spirit.

The University of Illinois Springfield is hosting a variety of additional Homecoming events, including "Back to Class for a Day," a pep rally block party leading up to Friday's games, a festive bonfire with fireworks following the men's soccer match, and the Prairie Stars 5K. These activities promise to enhance the Homecoming experience and bring our Prairie Stars community together in celebration.
