With the help of a few student workers, Associate Professor of Ceramics Shane Harris hand-delivered or shipped 25 pounds of clay, tools and instruction cards to each student in his ceramics class. Until the COVID-19 pandemic, he had never taught an online class. His ceramics and 3D art classes are hands-on and require studio space and materials. He said he had to think on his feet to avoid assigning his students a paper about pottery.
