UIS Finishes the Semester at OATS Tournament 4
SPRINGFIELD, IL (December 18, 2021) – The UIS Speech and Debate Team finished the fall semester of competition at the Online Asynchronous Tournament Series Tournament #4 held jointly by Southwest Minnesota State University and Wayne State College. Forty five universities were in attendance at this competition from as far away as Arizona, Florida, and Virginia.
Three team members represented UIS: Vikas Bhakta, Sarah Burris, and Clark Morgan. This was Bhakta’s and Morgan’s first collegiate competition. All three team members earned high scores and received positive comments from their judges. These critiques will be used to revamp the speeches and improve for the spring semester.
