The Illinois Springfield men's cross country team is set to compete at the Bradley Pink Classic this Friday, Oct. 18, at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. Following a challenging outing at the Lewis Crossover, the Prairie Stars are eager to finish the regular season strong against a diverse field of teams from NCAA DI, DII, and DIII.

The Bradley Pink Classic will feature two races for both men and women, with UI
S racing a partial squad in the Men's White Race (B Race), starting at 1:30 p.m.

In their last competition at the Lewis Crossover, the Prairie Stars finished 17th out of 36 teams, facing several nationally ranked opponents. Isaac Cortes led the team with a solid performance, finishing 46th overall with a time of 24:45. The squad averaged 25:16 for the 8K race, with a narrow nine-second spread between their third and seventh runners.
