The Illinois Springfield men's tennis team has been selected fifth in the preseason poll for the GLVC East Division, earning 9 total points. By total votes, UIS ranks ahead of Missouri-St. Louis (East, 8 points), Quincy (West, 7 points), and William Jewell (West, 4 points).

The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.

Indianapolis leads the East Division with five first-place votes and 25 points, followed by McKendree with 21 points and four first-place votes. In the West Division, Drury, Rockhurst, and Southwest Baptist are the top three teams, with Drury and Rockhurst each receiving two first-place votes and Southwest Baptist earning one.

UIS will face its GLVC slate in April, with two matches on the road and the final three at home. Last season, the Prairie Stars qualified for the GLVC tournament, earning the third seed from the East Division.

Illinois Springfield will serve as the host of the 2025 GLVC Men's and Women's Tennis Championships from May 2-4 at the newly renovated Velasco Tennis Center in Washington Park.
