WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield invites the public to the 46th annual International Festival, the university’s longest-running student-led event. The festival will feature live cultural performances and international cuisine. Admission is free.

WHEN: 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19

WHERE: The Recreation and Athletic Center, 2171 University Drive, Springfield

DETAILS: For over 40 years, the UIS family has celebrated its rich international and cultural diversity with the annual International Festival.

Attendees will receive a digital program and food tickets upon entry, allowing them to explore various cultural exhibits, enjoy food tastings and watch live performances.

This year’s festival will provide an opportunity for guests to engage with individuals from around the globe and experience a variety of traditions and customs.

According to Fall Semester 2024 census numbers, a total of 957 international students are enrolled at UIS from 38 countries.
