The UIS track & field team has adjusted its outdoor schedule and will now compete at Grand Valley State University's Extra Weekend Meet in Allendale, Mich. on Thursday, April 25. The meet, previously scheduled to take place on Saturday, will start at noon Eastern time with field events. Running events are slated for 4:30 p.m. ET.
The Prairie Stars were originally set to take part in the Simpson College Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola, Iowa on Friday, but will no longer attend the event.
The meet schedule at GVSU remains tentative, though favorable weather conditions are expected in Southwestern Michigan on Thursday.
The GVSU Extra Weekend Meet will be the final regular season showing for UIS track and field ahead of the GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Kirksville, Mo. on May 2-4.
