The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is excited to announce its annual silent auction and benefit, featuring a diverse collection of original art, reproductions, decorative objects and crafts donated by artists and community supporters. This year’s auction will be held both online and in person, making it easy for collectors and supporters across the region to participate.

The auction opens online on Nov. 11 with bidding available through 7 p.m. on Dec. 5. Artworks will be on display at the UIS Visual Arts Gallery from Dec. 2-5 for in-person viewing. A final bidding reception will take place at the gallery from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 5. All bids must be placed through the auction website.

This year’s offerings span painting, ceramics, glass, photography and more. Proceeds from the auction directly support gallery programming, including ambitious exhibitions by emerging and established artists, as well as student exhibitions. The UIS Visual Arts Gallery invites the community to champion these programs by bidding online, visiting the gallery in person or making a direct donation in support.

The UIS Visual Arts Gallery is centrally located on the UIS campus in the Health and Sciences Building, room 201 (HSB 201). Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday. For more information and future exhibitions, visit the UIS Visual Arts Gallery website.
