The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the third consecutive year and the eighth time in program history. The Prairie Stars maintained a team GPA of 3.55 in 2023-24.

The award recognizes volleyball teams that maintained a GPA of 3.30 or higher on a 4.0 scale for the academic year. 

More than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs earned the award, including nine women's teams from the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC). 

UIS volleyball was also recognized as an Academic All-GLVC team in 2023-24. The team placed twelve individuals on the Academic All-GLVC list, three on the CSC Academic All-District list, and had three GLVC Council of Presidents' Academic Excellence Award honorees.
