The UIS women's basketball program has announced the addition of Aubrey Staton as an assistant coach ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Staton is a former NCAA Division III student-athlete. The El Paso, Ill. native was a member of the Millikin women's basketball team from 2018 to 2022.
"I'm excited to have Aubrey join us at UIS." said Head Coach Olivia Lett. "She helped build our culture at Millikin as a player, was active in leadership on campus, and engaged with the community around her. Her connections to the area will help us in our pursuit of owning the recruiting of Central Illinois. I'm confident she will continue to grow, lead and have an impact in those areas at UIS. I'm thrilled we have two assistants that I believe will help our program continue to move in the right direction."
Staton joins first-year head coach Oliva Lett and returning assistant coach D'Angelo Hughes on the coaching staff at UIS.
