The UIS women's cross country team put forth a solid performance at the GLVC Championships on Saturday, finishing fourth overall and demonstrating the depth of their roster. 

Championship Recap
  • Junior Maddie Miller led the Prairie Stars with an 8th-place finish, crossing the line in 21:33 to earn All-GLVC honors and anchor the team's placement in the top five
  • Following Miller, junior Kaleigh Inniss finished 16th with a time of 22:08, earning the first All-GLVC honors of her career
  • Senior Jordan Serrahn took 21st with a 6k time of 22:23, finishing just outside of All-GLVC range
  • The rest of the UIS lineup included junior Emma Leahy (37th, 23:12), sophomore Marissa Roggensack (38th, 23:13), senior Lillian Buzani (43rd, 23:19), and freshman Norah Wright (44th, 23:19), all of whom played crucial roles in the team's best GLVC championship performance since the 2020 season
  • The Lewis Flyers claimed the team title, with Hannah Smrcka finishing first overall with a time of 20:53
