The UIS women's golf team is set to compete in the William Beall Fall Classic on Monday, Sept. 30, and Tuesday, Oct. 1.The Prairie Stars are coming off a strong performance at the Kansas City Cup, where they finished fifth in a competitive field of GLVC teams.

UIS will take on 54 holes of stroke play over two days at Findlay Country Club. The tournament includes a strong lineup of 17 NCAA Division II women's golf teams, featuring GLVC rivals Maryville, Indianapolis, and Missouri-St. Louis.

Kansas City Cup (Sept. 23-24)
The Prairie Stars posted scores of 326, 319, and 319 over three rounds, for a total of 964 strokes last week. Elaine Grant led the team with a total score of 225, finishing second individually. Sara Prieto, Arya Gadeker, Ira Joshi, and Isabelle Segal contributed solid performances throughout the tournament. UIS remained competitive against tough rivals, including tournament winner McKendree, who finished with a score of 933.
