The UIS women's track and field team will compete in its final indoor regular-season meet on Friday night at Illinois College, aiming for last-chance qualifying marks ahead of the GLVC Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The Prairie Stars duo of Kali Gaden and Norah Wright will appear in the 800-meter run. Gaden ran her best 800 meters of the season, 2:26.31, at the GVSU Big Meet last week. Wright had her collegiate best in the same race, finishing in 2:24.36, improving in the 800 each outing this season. The current 18th-place time in the GLVC in the 800 meters is 2:21.42, setting a standard to beat for Gaden and Wright.

GLVC Standings
Prairie Stars holding onto a GLVC top-18 spot, on track to qualify for the league championship meet in Indianapolis, include Madelyn Miller in the mile, 3,000 meters, and 5,000 meters, where she is the conference leader with a time of 16:37.46. In the 3,000 meters, Kaleigh Inniss (13th) and Josslyn Gaona (16th) are inside the cut line. Inniss (14th) is also in qualifying position for the 5,000 meters, while a group of Prairie Stars—Lillian Buzani, Lauren McBride, Josslyn Gaona, and Marissa Roggensack—are just outside in spots 22-25.
