The UIS volleyball team was able to win its GLVC opener on Friday night against Missouri S&T in a five-set affair. With the win, UIS improves to 9-3 overall with a 1-0 record in the GLVC. Missouri S&T falls to 2-9 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
