It is the start of another great fall semester. Many new employees are working at the University and being given access to different Webtools. We want to help make learning Webtools as easy as possible by providing links to our Training Videos. The videos can also be found at the bottom of every Webtools screen via the Training Videos button.
Resources for New Employees
Here are some of the Training Videos found in the Webtools Help Blog. Each new Webtools user should watch the related tutorial before attempting to use Webtools. Videos include:

- Transfer/Share
Sponsoring a Student Worker
Student access is limited unless the student is “sponsored” by an employee. Use the More/Sponsored tool in Webtools to sponsor any student. This will give the student full staff access in the same unit and department as the sponsor. Privileges to any specific Webtool will still need to be assigned on the Privileges tab for that Webtool. Global sharing of privileges can be done in the Transfer/Share Webtool.
Assigning Privileges to Co-workers
Privileges are assigned on the Privileges tab for any specific Webtool. Privileges can be assigned for a user (NetID) or for a group in the Groups Webtool. Global sharing of privileges can be done in the Transfer/Share Webtool.
Gaining Access to a Webtool
If you would like access to a specific Webtool the first step is to identify the admin to contact. There is a Search tab in each Webtool that will allow you find the specific Webtool and to display the admin 'roles'. Next contact an admin and request privileges.
