UIS (0-5, 0-1 GLVC) goes to Liberty, Mo., in the Kansas City area to play the William Jewell Cardinals (1-4, 0-0 GLVC) on Monday night. The Prairie Stars trail in the close 9-8 all-time series between the teams. William Jewell recently suffered an 80-62 loss to non-conference opponent Wayne State.
7:30 p.m. - Men's Basketball at William Jewell
The Prairie Stars (3-3, 0-1 GLVC) go on the road to face the reigning GLVC Tournament Champions, the William Jewell Cardinals (3-3, 0-0 GLVC). The Cardinals recently lost 78-77 in overtime to Missouri Western (RV). UIS leads Jewell 9-8 since their first meeting in 2011.
Thursday, Dec. 5
5:15 p.m. - Women's Basketball at Maryville
The Prairie Stars will face the Maryville Saints (1-5, 0-1) in St. Louis, Mo., on Thursday evening. Both teams are looking to rebound after opening conference play with losses—UIS falling to UMSL and Maryville dropping their match against McKendree. A conference victory would be a crucial momentum boost for either squad. The Saints lead UIS 12-7 all-time. Maryville will play Missouri-St. Louis before their game against UIS.
7:30 p.m. - Men's Basketball at Maryville
UIS goes to St. Louis, Mo., for a game against the Maryville Saints (1-5, 0-1 GLVC). UIS recently opened conference play with a loss to Maryville, while Maryville suffered a loss to McKendree in their conference opener on the same day. UIS trails in the 10-8 all-time series, last winning a regular season game against Maryville in 2023. The Saints will take on the Tritons of Missouri-St. Louis before playing UIS.
Saturday, Dec. 7
1:00 p.m. - Women's Basketball at McKendree
The Prairie Stars face off against the McKendree Bearcats (5-0, 1-0 GLVC). McKendree leads UIS 19-11 all-time, though the Prairie Stars have won two of the last three meetings. The Bearcats recently defeated Maryville 79-69 to open their conference schedule. McKendree will play Rockhurst on Monday before hosting UIS.
3:00 p.m. - Men's Basketball at McKendree
UIS goes to Lebanon, Ill., to face another nearby GLVC opponent in the McKendree Bearcats (4-3, 1-0 GLVC) with the all-time record even at 16-16. McKendree defeated Maryville 74-66 on Saturday to start conference play 1-0. The Bearcats will travel to Kansas City, Mo., to take on Rockhurst early in the week.
