The UIS volleyball and men's and women's soccer teams continue their regular season conference competition this week. Meanwhile, the men's golf team is concluding their fall season, and the cross country team is taking a brief hiatus between conference and regional events.
Monday, Oct. 28
All Day - Men's Golf at Bill Crabtree Invitational
The UIS men's golf team is in Owensboro, KY, for their final tournament of the fall season! The Prairie Stars will compete over two rounds on Monday and Tuesday, facing a field primarily comprised of NCAA Division II opponents from the Midwest region.
Tuesday, Oct. 29
All Day - Men's Golf at Bill Crabtree Invitational
UIS will wrap up the tournament and conclude the fall season on Tuesday.
Friday, Nov. 1
5 PM - Women's Soccer vs. Upper Iowa (HOME)
The Prairie Stars (6-6-3, 6-5-1 GLVC) host the Peacocks (4-6-4, 4-5-3 GLVC) on the last home Friday night of the regular season. UIS currently sits sixth in the GLVC standings, while UIU is in ninth. Last season, the Prairie Stars secured a 1-0 victory in their first-ever meeting with the Peacocks. Additionally, UIS will recognize 10 seniors during the ceremonies between the women's and men's games.
Senior Night
6 PM - Volleyball at Rockhurst
Illinois Springfield (14-7, 4-3 GLVC) is heading to Kansas City to take on Rockhurst (15-5, 6-2 GLVC) this Friday night. Currently, Rockhurst occupies the third spot in the conference standings, while UIS is in sixth place. The Prairie Stars have a challenging history against the Hawks, with an all-time record of 0-18 since their initial meeting in 2009. However, UIS has managed to win at least one set in each of the last three encounters.
7:30 PM - Men's Soccer vs. Upper Iowa (HOME)
UIS (4-6-5, 4-3-5 GLVC) hosts the Upper Iowa Peacocks (1-10-4, 1-8-3 GLVC) at Kiwanis Stadium on Friday night. The Prairie Stars are sixth in the GLVC standings while the Peacocks are fourteenth. UIS won 4-0 when the teams met a season ago, but trails 1-2 in the all-time series with UIU due to losses in 2014 and 2015. The Prairie Stars will recognize 14 seniors during the ceremonies between the women's and men's games.

Saturday, Nov. 2
3 PM - Volleyball at William Jewell
UIS (14-7, 4-3 GLVC) travels to Liberty, Mo., to take on the William Jewell Cardinals (7-17, 1-7 GLVC). Currently, UIS is positioned sixth in the GLVC standings, while WJC sits in fourteenth place. The all-time series between the two teams is closely contested, with UIS trailing slightly at 7-8. However, UIS emerged victorious in their last matchup, winning 3-1.
Sunday, Nov. 3
12 PM - Women's Soccer vs. Lewis (HOME)
UIS (6-6-3, 6-5-1 GLVC) hosts Lewis (3-11-1, 3-9 GLVC) at Kiwanis Stadium to close out their final homestand of the regular season. The Flyers currently sit in 12th place in the GLVC standings. UIS has a 3-9-4 all-time record against Lewis, but the teams tied in 2023 and the Prairie Stars won 1-0 in their previous matchup in 2022.

2:30 PM - Men's Soccer vs. Lewis (HOME)
The Prairie Stars (6-6-3, 6-5-1 GLVC) host the Flyers (9-4-3, 8-2-2) once again after facing them in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season. Last November, the teams played to a scoreless draw, but UIS had won the four previous matchups from 2021 to 2023, including the crucial head-to-head matchup that secured UIS the regular season title in 2023. The all-time series stands at 12-13-2 in favor of the Flyers.
