The Cinda Klickna Scholarship supports students pursuing teacher licensure with an intention to teach English or language arts at the middle or high school grade levels. Ms. Klickna taught English in Springfield School District 186 for more than 25 years with a passion for helping students understand grammar and become good writers. She also served as both secretary-treasurer and president of the Illinois Education Association, a position in which she advocated for teachers and public education. Her scholarship is intended to inspire future teachers to pursue excellence in teaching good language skills to future generations of students. Merit and financial need can be considered equally, and the scholarship can be renewed.
