This fund provides support for research in nanotechnology applications in the Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at The University of Illinois in Springfield. Chemistry, biochemistry, biology, and environmental studies undergraduate research students will learn through real-world experiences. Students will implement nanotechnology for environmental remediation at the Therkildsen Field Station at Emiquon, the UIS Field Station at Lake Springfield, and impact the Mississippi River floodplain.
