The Homer L. and Paul C. Butler Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Homer Butler, a former Dean of Students, who died April 1, 1997 from a rare form of cancer. His son, Paul, preceded him in death in 1986 as a result of an automobile accident. Homer's open, accessible and friendly style put people at ease and helped to make students feel a part of the campus community. Applicants for the scholarship must have clear career goals, potential leadership, and integrity.
