Gifts to this fund support Student Aid in the Department of Art, Music, and Theatre in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at UIS to honor the memory of Violet Rose Salela, who loved the study and practice of vocal music. Recipients shall be students with a concentration in voice who are either majoring or minoring in music, or singing in a UIS music ensemble. The donor's strong preference is for recipients to be a first-generation college student.
