Dr. Wilfred Lam has been a physician in Springfield for many years, and he also taught at SIU School of Medicine before retiring. His wife, Esther, had training as a nurse before earning two degrees at UIS as a non-traditional student: a BA in History in 1996 and an MA in Communication in 2004.
