Gifts are used to maintain the Women's Friendship Garden at UIS. This fund pays for the commemoration we place in the garden each year to honor the annual recipient of the Naomi B. Lynn Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Environment for Women at UIS. We also use this account for ongoing perennial plantings. In Spring 2005 we planted a Yellow Bird Magnolia that will grow to 40 feet tall with a 25-foot span–a thing of beauty for our campus for years to come.
