UIS Softball Hosts Missouri S&T and Drury This Weekend



The Illinois Springfield softball team will look to extend its perfect 9-0 home record this weekend. The Prairie Stars will host Missouri S&T on Saturday and Drury on Sunday, with both doubleheaders starting at noon. UIS is on a strong streak, winning seven of its last eight games.

UIS Women’s Tennis Prepares for Non-Conference Match Against Drury



The UIS women's tennis team will take on Drury University at home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the Springfield Racquet and Fitness Club in its final non-conference match of the season before opening the GLVC East slate against Missouri-St. Louis on April 11.

Weather Cancels UIS Baseball's Series Finale Against UIndy



The UIS baseball team played through most of its series against Indianapolis this weekend, but Sunday's scheduled nine-inning finale was canceled due to inclement weather. Per Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) policy, the game will not be rescheduled.

The series began strong for UIS with a 6-3 victory in the nine-inning opener. However, Indianapolis bounced back to win both games of Saturday's doubleheader, taking the first 10-6 and the second 3-0.

Men’s Golf SVSU Spring Invitational Canceled



The UIS men's golf team was competing at the SVSU Spring Invitational before inclement weather forced the tournament's cancellation. Play was suspended on Saturday after 9-11 holes, and the event was officially called off before resumption on Sunday.

Before the stoppage, UIS was tied for sixth with Tiffin in a 19-team field. Julien Babineau led the Prairie Stars at two-under through 10 holes, sitting atop the individual standings.
