Springfest 2025 is just around the corner, and we need judges to help make this long-standing UIS tradition a success! Running from April 21st–26th, Springfest brings together students, faculty, staff, and alumni for a week of friendly competition and campus spirit.

Judges play a key role in scoring competitions, ensuring fair play, and keeping the excitement going. Sign-ups are open now through April 15th—we welcome faculty, staff, students, and alumni to participate!

Springfest is one of the longest-standing traditions at University of Illinois Springfield, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and alumni for a week of friendly competition, teamwork, and campus spirit! Springfest 2025 will take place from April 21st–26th, and we need judges and volunteers to help make this event a success.

Time management is essential for efficiency and success and balancing productivity and relaxation. Knowing when to focus and when to rest can make a huge difference in overall well-being and productivity.

When people talk about college, they usually mention the fun parts—making new friends, attending events or starting fresh. However, for some people, there's a side to college that isn’t talked about as much, such as struggling with loneliness, worrying about money or questioning your ability to make it to graduation. If you're feeling this way, you're not alone—and there are ways to get through it to ensure your time at UIS is positive!

A section of Richard Wright Drive will be closed Friday, September 27 from noon to 6 p.m. for the Homecoming Pep Rally Block party.

The start of a new academic year is an exciting but sometimes overwhelming experience for new students, especially when it comes to finding yourself, getting involved, establishing a community and excelling in your classes. At the University of Illinois Springfield, there are many opportunities available that will allow you to engage with your peers, develop meaningful connections and access resources that will help you shine as our newest Prairie Star. Registrations are now being accepted for the Fall 24 Involvement Expo!

Registration will be open until August 16. The Involvement Expo will be held on August 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. on the UIS Quad.

Springfest needs volunteers to serve as judges for this campus tradition! Judges are needed for the following events:

• Monday, April 17 - Scavenger Hunt 
• Tuesday, April 18 - Trivia Night
• Wednesday, April 19 - Flag and Chant
• Friday, April 21 - Sports Day 1
• Saturday, April 22 - Sports Day 2
