Important Graduation and Commencement Information!
The following message was sent to all UIS students regarding Commencement 2024. Additional information is available on the Commencement 2024 website. Questions pertaining to commencement should be addressed to commencement@uis.edu.
Dear students,
Faculty
- If you submitted the online Faculty Participation and Regalia form indicating that you will be participating, commencement information will be sent to you prior to the ceremonies.
- If you will be participating and have special needs/accommodation requests, please email commencement@uis.edu.
- If you ordered regalia as part of the Faculty Participation and Regalia form submission, items will be delivered to your college office in late April/early May.
Final reminder! Students must apply now if graduating in fall 2023!
Students graduating in Fall 2023 or Spring 2024 must submit an online Graduation Application via Student Self-Service (https://apps.uillinois.edu/ - “Graduation” tab) by October 2, 2023 (Fall 2023), or February 16, 2023 (Spring 2024). Students MUST be sure to verify that all curriculum information is listed accurately BEFORE submitting an online Graduation Application (including major, minor, concentration, etc.).

Commencement is SATURDAY!
Commencement day is almost here! Please read the following info to be fully informed.
When/Where
Saturday, May 13, 2 p.m.| Bank of Springfield Center in downtown Springfield.
Arrival
Arrive between 1 and 1:30 p.m. The doors will close 15 minutes prior to the ceremony; you will not participate if you arrive after the doors close. Give yourself ample time for traffic, finding a parking spot and walking to the BOS Center. There are other events the same day downtown, so parking might take extra time.
