Employee Programs

UIS offers multiple programs for employees to network with constituents and learn more about UIS and the many things that set us apart from other universities.

Rising Stars

The Rising Stars program is designed for new employees to orient themselves to the campus and to familiarize them with the many acronyms, places, and faces they’ll see around them during their employment.

Employment & Benefits

Employment Benefits

Employees can choose from a number of competitive health insurance plans, a dental plan, flexible spending plans, several types of term life insurance, long term disability insurance, supplemental investment programs and additional optional offerings. Employees and their children may also be eligible for tuition waivers. We provide sick time, shared benefits leave, vacation time, floating holidays, several paid holidays and other opportunities to take time away from work when necessary.

Registrar Training

Banner Document Management (BDM)/Xtender

Banner Document Management (BDM), also known as WebXtender, is the official repository of student academic records.  While BDM can be accessed via Banner, Admissions Workflow, or Slate systems, it is actually a stand alone system whose contents are maintained by the UIS Office of Records and Registration.

For training needs related to BDM please contact the Office of Records and Registration by emailing registrar@uis.edu.

Orbit

UIS Orbit is a resource for University of Illinois Springfield employees to find important news and announcements, new hire information, human resources info, upcoming employee events and more!
