A message from U of I President Tim Killeen on federal directives
Dear University of Illinois System community,
Across the University of Illinois System, your chancellors and our deep roster of experts are diligently monitoring and evaluating proposed changes in federal funding, White House executive orders, and directives from the federal Office of Management and Budget for impact on our universities.
Getting to know you: Jennifer Harris
Jennifer Harris is the office administrator for the Center of Lincoln Studies.
What do you like about your job?
I enjoy the variety of projects I’m involved in. I love to plan and keep a running task list. There is a satisfying sense of accomplishment in seeing a project come together from start to finish and knowing I had a share in bringing it to fruition. There is so much opportunity to grow and learn, and my leaders truly support me in doing so.
Open Forum - Director of the Access & Equity Office and Title IX Coordinator
Colleagues,
Please join us for the Open Forums featuring candidates for the position of Director of the Access & Equity Office and Title IX Coordinator. Instead of a formal presentation, the forums will follow an open Q&A format. I will begin each session by asking the same two questions to each candidate, after which the floor will be open for questions from attendees.
Both Open Forums will be held in Brookens Auditorium:
Change in ITS Client Services Hours
In an effort to improve building security, ITS Client Services (located in the lower level of Brookens Library) will not be available for in-person visits until 9am Monday through Friday. We will still be available for phone/chat/email support and by appointment for in-person visits from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Protection of Minors Reminder
UIS is committed to protecting minors that visit campus so they can enjoy the wonderful events and programs our community offers. For departments that want to offer programs to minors (persons under the age of eighteen (18)), our Protection of Minors page has detailed information on planning and hosting an event for young visitors.
