UIS students set an example by cleaning up

University of Illinois Springfield students are giving back.

The students took some time between classes to help clean up the campus on Friday.

It is part of their Anything Goes Fridays where students get the chance to get involved in the Springfield community and local charity organizations.

The event was run by the Volunteer and Civic Engagement Center.

UIS baseball falls to Point Loma at NCAA D2 National Championship

The University of Illinois Springfield baseball team is competing in the NCAA Division Two National Championship. UIS fell to Point Loma in the first round Saturday evening.

The team had 10 hits led by Austin Alderman and Kal Youngquist who each recorded two.
