The University of Illinois Springfield Astronomy-Physics Program, Lincoln Memorial Garden and the Sangamon Astronomical Society will host a special Star Party to view the annual Perseid meteor shower 8-10 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Astronomy Day Star Party at Lincoln Memorial Garden on April 29, 8-10 pm (weather permitting)

Star Party at the Central Illinois Stem Fair on March 30 from 6-8 pm. Telescope viewing weather permitting.

Star Party for the annual Perseid Meteor Shower at Cawley Meadow at Lincoln Memorial Garden on August 12 from 8:30-10pm (weather permitting) featuring John Martin (University of Illinois Springfield Professor of Astronomy-Physics) and the Sangamon Astronomical Society.
