Lan Dong
Lan Dong is Professor of English and the Louise Hartman and Karl Schewe Endowed Professor in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She was a College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Faculty Fellow in 2015, working on faculty development, faculty and staff handbooks, student petitions, and international student advising.
Kyle Blount
Biography
Academic and Personal Background
Dr. Blount (they/them) is a socio-ecohydrologist who is interested in the interactions between hydrology (water), ecology (vegetation), and society (people). Dr. Blount joined the faculty at UIS in Fall 2022 after completing a postdoctoral research appointment in urban ecohydrology at Washington State University Vancouver. They received a Ph.D. and M.S. in Hydrology from Colorado School of Mines (2020; 2018) and a B.S. in Environmental Geosciences from Texas A&M University (2013).
Michael Murphy
Michael J. Murphy is Professor of Gender and Sexuality Studies. He holds a BA in Art and Art History from the University of Iowa and an MA and PhD in Art History and Archaeology from Washington University in St. Louis. H has taught at UIS since fall 2009.
