Do you have a Good Idea that could help make a positive difference for UIS? We are pleased to announce the availability again this year of one-time (non-recurring) funds to support implementation of good ideas from UIS staff and faculty. A wide range of ideas will be considered with the goal to fund projects with broad impact to the University.
On Thursday, September 12, the Mary and James Beaumont Endowed Lincoln Legacy Lecture Series will be held at the Student Union.
Therefore, please be aware, that on Thursday, September 12, Parking Lot J and a section of Lot F will be closed to campus for parking due to this event.
On this date, please make sure to plan accordingly and utilize alternate parking lots authorized by your parking hang tag.

Our research team (consisting of Emily Boles (COLRS), Kara McElwrath (ITS), and Jennifer Martin (School of Education)) recently received IRB approval to conduct a study at UIS about student and professor experiences pre- and post-COVID.
The instructor survey opens today, September 9. Please complete the survey by September 23. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes and you need only answer the questions you choose.

The Civil Service Advisory Council (CSAC) is pleased to announce that FY2025 funding has been made available to assist Civil Service Employees (CS) at UIS with professional development. Any CS employee employed with a 50% (minimum) appointment may apply for up to $1,200 to use toward any aspect of past or future professional development occurring during the 2025 fiscal year (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025).
