The University of Illinois Springfield’s master’s degree in public health (MPH) has received accreditation from the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). This is the first time in the 32-year history of the program that it has received national accreditation.

University of Illinois Springfield Associate Professor of Management, Marketing and Operations Sudeep Sharma recently completed a research trip to Italy, where he shared his expertise in conflict management and negotiation with faculty and doctoral students at the University of Trento. This collaborative venture, which took place June 16-30, 2023, has opened up new avenues for research in the field of negotiation studies.
Andrew Stokes honored with the UIS Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award
Andrew Stokes, a 2022 University of Illinois Springfield master’s in environmental studies graduate, was honored on April 14, 2023, in the Student Union Ballroom with the Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award for the 2021-2022 academic year. He appeared virtually.
Stokes thesis, “Population Visibility Analysis of Two Hacked Osprey Populations in Central Illinois,” was mentored by Tih-Fen Ting, UIS associate professor of environmental studies.

UIUC Graduate Student Conference Call for Abstracts
The College of Education at UIUC is holding the 2023 Graduate Student Conference on March 3, 2023. We are reaching out to invite the graduate students to share their work on the impact of Covid 19 on technology development, innovations, and implementation. As most of the schools turned to virtual learning during the covid-19 pandemic, we had to rely on technology for school and work. Students are welcome to share their work related to technology innovation and students’ learning or any other related work at the conference.
