The Graduate Certificate in Medical Microbiology is a 12-credit hour, post-baccalaureate certificate program for students who want to work in a medical microbiology laboratory and have already earned a bachelor’s degree in a non-MLS discipline. The Graduate Certificate in Medical Microbiology can be completed in three semesters. Individuals who successfully complete the Graduate Certificate in Medical Microbiology are eligible to sit for the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Certification (BOC) Scientist in Microbiology examination via route 3.
Certified Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) may be eligible to complete the Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), B.S. online through the Online MLT-MLS Articulation.
The Pre-Medical Concentration is a 21-credit hour program through which MLS undergraduate students can formally prepare for medical or professional schools. Students enrolled in the Pre-Medical Concentration must complete the requirements of the concentration in addition to the requirements of the Medical Laboratory Science, B.S.
Medical Laboratory Scientists are essential in healthcare. As an MLS student, you’ll learn in classroom and actual clinical settings. The Medical Laboratory Science degree program has a 100% job placement rate following graduation. The MLS degree offers pathways to medical school, PA programs, law school, public health, and more.

The Graduate Certificate in Hematology can be completed in three semesters.
