The Popular Music in Greece: International Research Collective is open to general participation. To join, please email pmgirc@gmail.com. Only participants that have presented their work at a PMGIRC conference will have their biography listed on the website.
The Make A Noise Ensemble is available to students, faculty/staff, and community members of any level of musical experience and any instrument or voice. The ensemble focuses on the study and practice of experimental and contemporary music. The course culminates in a group collaborative composition and performance.

UIS offers a number of generous Institutional music scholarships.
A wide of range of music-oriented Institutional scholarships are offered through the Music program. To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must fill out the UIS Institutional Scholarship Application.
The annual UIS “Lift Every Voice!” Black History Month Collage Concert will take place on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. The concert welcomes participation by UIS students, faculty/staff, and community members. Young musicians are especially encouraged to apply.
The concert ends with a collaboration performance of the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by the UIS Choir and multiple visiting choirs. If your choir would like to join this performance, please fill out an application form.
