STEP ONE - SELECT REASON FOR REQUEST

Enrollment Reason options are available for the Air Force to better determine why you choose to utilize TA for off-duty education. Please select the reason that best identifies why you are using TA. Definitions of each of the four options are available to help you make a selection.

University Requirements

You will receive an eligibility letter for the GI Bill from the VA in 4 to 6 weeks.

To receive maximum educational benefit payments under the Veterans’ Readjustment Benefits Act of 1966, undergraduate, graduate, and professional students are required to be registered and actively attending as full-time students. For VA purposes, full-time status is defined as actively attending at least 12 concurrent hours during fall or spring or 6 concurrent hours during summer.

UIS Admission Acceptance Form

If you are accepted to UIS, the Office of Admissions will email you with an offer of admission. You must accept your admission by completing the UIS Admission Acceptance form that is emailed with the offer of admission. Once filled out, it can be mailed or emailed to the Office of Admissions at UIS.
