The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present “In the Shadow,” an installation of ceramic works by Decatur-based artist Jennifer Holt. The exhibition will open on Monday, March 6, and run through Thursday, April 13. A reception will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at the gallery.

Artworks in the Art & Artifacts Collection at the University of Illinois Springfield, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, decorative arts, and miscellaneous objects, are being offered to faculty and staff through an intra-campus loan program for display in your office (for a period of two years, after which time there may be the option to renew)!
The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery Annual Silent Auction and Benefit will take place both online and on-site at the gallery this year. The Silent Auction and Benefit, featuring original works of art donated by local and regional artists, will launch online on Monday, Nov. 14 and remain live through final bidding at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1. The University of Illinois Springfield Visual Arts Gallery presents “Motif: Silent Language,” an exhibition of mixed-media fiber works by Turkish artist Hale Ekinci. “Motif: Silent Language” will open on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022 and will run through Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022.
