Each year, the Faculty and Staff Campaign encourages all university employees to make a gift to UIS during the current fiscal year. This event provides opportunities to explore where your gift goes, who it effects, and explore your options for giving.
A contractor will be on site with a crane to safely remove the old rooftop unit on VPA and install a new one. Please be advised that the affected area is located on the northwest side of the building, over rooms 3 and 5, as well as the adjoining hallway.
We kindly request that you avoid this area as much as possible during the specified timeframe, for your own safety and the safety of others. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this necessary maintenance operation.
The weeks before finals can be a very stressful time for students, and it is important to take time to relax and relieve some stress through fun activities.
There will be a variety of fun activities students are welcome to partake in such as: outdoor games, frisbee, door raffle for prizes, sensory bottles, flower pot painting, chalk, and much more! Food will also be provided at the event.
WHAT: The University of Illinois Springfield and Innovate Springfield will host Doug Hamilton, head of artificial intelligence (AI) research at Nasdaq and a UIS alum, for a keynote speech on “The Current State of AI.” His speech will be followed by a panel discussion on the topic with UIS and outside experts.

Critical plumbing repairs will be made in the Public Affairs Center (PAC) Tower 3 on Wednesday, March 15, from 6am to 10am.
These repairs do require that we close Tower 3 restrooms on all floors (1-5). Signs will be posted on the closed restrooms. Alternate restrooms can be found in Tower 1 and Tower 2.

The annual fire drills for those located in UHB, PAC, BRK, HSB and PDB will be conducted on Friday, Nov. 4.
