An exhibition reception will be held for 'Under the Umbrella', a group exhibition featuring UIS Visual Arts graduating seniors. Join us in the gallery at 5:30 pm tonight!

Graduating seniors from the UIS Visual Arts Department exhibit their artwork at The UIS Visual Arts Gallery.

You are invited to attend the screening of The Life and Work of Vachel Lindsay, hosted by Sangamon Experience, on Friday, April 14 at the Brookens Auditorium at the University of Illinois Springfield from 6 pm. A panel discussion will follow. The documentary was directed and produced by The Storyteller Studios and commissioned by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and State Historic Sites Springfield.

The UIS Visual Arts Gallery is pleased to present "In the Shadow," an installation of ceramic works by Decatur-based artist Jennifer Holt. The exhibition will open on Monday, March 6, and run through Thursday, April 13. A reception will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at the gallery.

The UIS Visual Arts Gallery is reopening for the Spring semester with a brand new exhibition by Chicago based artist Frances Lee. 'A tax on a bag and other landscapes' will open January 17th and run through February 16th, 2023.

The UIS Visual Arts Gallery presents its first exhibition of the semester: 'A tax on a bag and other landscapes.' A reception will be held the evening of Thursday, February 2. The show runs from Tuesday, January 2 through Thursday, February 16.
