  1. Create a new mailing list – can import a new list.
    NOTE: Emails to donors and/or alumni must:
    1. use the U of I TED database, with the data coming from the Advancement team/UIF
    2. Use a fresh list every time, not re-use a list that they keep externally

For the email mass communications going to donors and alumni, we prefer to use WebTools so that the units don’t have to manage their own email sending, and that way we keep compliant with CAN-SPAM by ensuring we use a fresh list every time.

  1. Add a ‘Mailing list’ block, select mailing list created, change title, and add path for page(s).
  2. Setup permissions for mailing list.
    • <mailing list name> Access any subscriptions
    • <mailing list name> Edit any subscriptions
    • <mailing list name> Delete any subscriptions
    • Subscribe to <mailing list name>
