  • Ward's two-goal performance, along with solid defense, ensured the Prairie Stars secured their fourth conference win
  • While several fouls and yellow cards slowed the pace in the latter part of the half, the Prairie Stars' defense remained resolute. UIS even created two more scoring opportunities late in the match, with Anna Schurz coming close to extending the lead, but Missouri S&T's goalkeeper, Anastasia Barcom, made the save
  • Goalkeeper Allison Mirimanian was called into action just once, making a save to secure the clean sheet

"Credit to Missouri S&T for playing a tough game and forcing us to make adjustments at halftime," said Coach Scott Myers. "I'm really proud of our team's performance, especially how we came out in the second half and battled to create quality scoring opportunities. Every conference game presents new challenges, and I'm excited about how our team is developing. A big shoutout to our goalkeeper group for securing a conference shutout. We'll enjoy this victory for tonight and then shift our focus to preparing for a tough game against Drury on Sunday."
