The Illinois Springfield women's soccer team fell 1-0 to Drury in a tough defensive battle on Sunday. With this result, UIS moves to 4-3-3 on the season and 4-2-1 in GLVC play, while Drury improves to 8-1-2 and 6-1-0 in the conference.

"It was a great game from two strong teams that brought their best," said senior Brooke Biffar. "We handled the challenges Drury presented throughout the match, and I credit them for staying focused and finding a way to take the lead early in the second half. I'm very proud of our team's effort over the full 90 minutes, and I know we grew from today's experience. We'll get back to work this week to prepare for UMSL and Lincoln."
