The UIS men's golf team tied for fourth out of 17 teams at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate tournament this week, making a late push to climb five spots in the team standings.

Tournament Summary
  • After Monday's first round, UIS sat in ninth place, just four strokes out of fourth in the field of seventeen teams
  • UIS made a strong push in the second round on Tuesday, shooting eight-under over the final five holes to secure a tie for fourth place
  • Jake Baldin led the Prairie Stars, tying for second place with a score of 146 after rounds of 72 and 74
  • Francesco Abba Jr. contributed with a score of 154, finishing tied for 19th
  • Daniel Edwards shot 157, placing him tied for 33rd
  • Julien Babineau finished tied for 46th with a score of 159, while Brady Wilson rounded out the team in 79th place with a score of 169
  • UIS defeated several key regional opponents including Drury, Davenport, Roosevelt, and Purdue Northwest
