The UIS Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) organized its second annual PB&J Springfield event this week, gathering student-athletes UIS athletic teams. The event saw 100% participation from UIS teams, resulting in 1,500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches made for Springfield community organizations like Washington Street Mission, the Salvation Army, and local homeless shelters. With the help of Springfield Hy-Vee, a proud sponsor of UIS Athletics, the teams were able to make an even greater impact in supporting the community.

PB&J Springfield expressed their gratitude, noting the donation's positive impact in serving Springfield residents in need.

UIS student-athletes are proud to continue this growing tradition, fostering teamwork and a spirit of service in their Springfield community.
